BRIEF
To create a logo that can be interchangeable between different platforms and placements. Incorporating brand colours and providing a feeling of class and style to reflect the brands online and physical offering.
LOGO INSPIRATION
I always start with looking at what is out there in the relevant industry in terms of branding. It helps to understand what already works and what customers are currently responding well to.
For Dotties I looked at the brand leaders in the market, including Oh Polly and Pretty Little Thing.
I also took into consideration, current logo design trends. I put all of this onto a mood board and send it to the client to take a look at and make comments on what they do and don't like. This forms a basis of my process and designs.
LOGO COLOUR
The colour was selected based on the clients original suggestions of bright pastels. I ensured that the most appropriate tones and shades are selected to compliment the design of the logo and the brand image overall.
LOGO DESIGN
Providing multiple versions to ensure the brand and logo is easily used across all online and print platforms and placements.
EXAMPLES OF USAGE
I provide examples of usage images to all my clients so that they can visualise how the final logo design will look on different media to ensure they are happy with the end result.
PHOTOGRAPHY
The client also wanted to launch with strong location photography of her products. These were taken in Bolton, Manchester UK. Giving a feeling of where these products might be worn day to day, making them look high end and of high quality.
