THE BRIEF
Charlotte is a celebrity published hair and makeup artist with an amazing creative talent. Having graduated from university with a high demand of clients, Charlotte found herself setting up her new business and in need of a logo and studio signage.
THE FONT
Starting with the name of Charlotte’s business “Charlotte Marie Makeover Studio” a name element being the signature of the logo was best suited to a script style font. Charlotte requested gold and rose gold to feature and also wanted the final element to be a title of the nature of business, a makeover studio.
THE COLOUR
With the starting point of the colour request of gold and/or rose gold and the element of makeup and flesh tones, the colour pallet is made up of the main two primary colours and two secondary pallets for the flesh tones and purple and pink hues to represent makeup.
THE DESIGN
The design of the logo came from the concept of smashed or dropped makeup powder. The trend of imagery for makeup was vibrant colours dropped or smashed on a clean white surface so I replicated that using non-uniform spots of colour. The logo works well centred with the type element aligned to the centre.
THE USAGE
Below are some examples of further usage of the final logo design. This included business card and banner print design.
